Maintenance Electrical Engineer
Our client are an established business who are a major player in the automotive sector.in Tipton. They are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrical Engineer to carry out the tasks necessary to achieve the planned level of operational utilization, safety, building integrity, cost and machine efficiency.
Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the manufacturing equipment and facilities ensuring that it is in a safe and efficient working order by carrying out repairs of any plant breakdowns and carrying out pre-planned maintenance checks as necessary. The role will also involve project installations and assisting in the commissioning of new equipment.
The aim of this role is to:-
o To work as a part of the maintenance team to utilise skills in the maintenance and repair of the site, provide a prompt response to breakdowns.
o Restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components or parts.
o Undertake departmental housekeeping as required and maintained to a 5C standard.
o Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide maintenance services.
o Assist in electrical works when new projects are undertaken.
o Carry out PPM activities on plant and machinery.
o Provide general building maintenance works. .
The successful applicant will have:-
o HND/BTEC level qualification
o At least 5 years previous experience within a manufacturing facility or similar role;
o Plant level experience minimum3 to 5 years' experience
o Electrical qualification
o Competency in problem solving, planning and decision making
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to teamwork with all on site;
o Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay organised and multi-task.
Salary of £29k to £30k dependent on experience, plus other benefits. Working hours - 7.15am - 4:15pm Monday to Thurs and 7.15am - 12.15pm Friday (37 hrs a week), with occasional overtime during the week and weekends.
