Description: Our client is currently seeking a HRIS Analyst (Kronos)

Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position plays an active role in shaping the HR systems function including development, administration, support, and maintenance of the system. This position also provides support to the Human Resources Department in areas such as employment, compensation and benefits, OD&T, safety, records, employee relations, or various kinds of HR reports. Also, as the HR Generalist for HMUS Michigan office, this position performs a variety of complex and routine administrative, technical and professional HR functions to ensure stable employee relations and a safe and secure work environment.

HRIS Analyst Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the testing, set-up and implementation of the HR system and for the on-going development of the HR applications, system administration, support, maintenance, and periodical housekeeping. Position will be the liaison with the system supplier, dealing with upgrades, patches, and other system issues daily

• Responsible for Administration and setup of all user accounts to access the system. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing HR systems. Responsible for training of staff at all HMUS locations on the system. Expert report writer including customization of reports into database which are used to research and analyze issues

• Provide daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for all HMUS plants for HRIS information

• Provide assistance and coordination in development and maintenance of specialized human resource information and measurement/reporting systems

• Perform specialized technical tasks, such as benchmark evaluation, technical research, labor trend analysis, and development of computerized reporting systems

• Prepare reports, graphs, charts, and statistical analyses, and participate in presenting reports and proposals to HR and management

• Special projects as assigned in HR

• Support/back-up/cross-train with other HR Generalists in corporate office

• Provide information systems support for the compensation plans, projects, and tasks

• Responsible for support of the salary and hourly wage adjustment including worksheets, interfacing with payroll and HR system, communication, and implementation of any follow-up thereof

• Assists in support of information for HR records related to salary and hourly wage adjustments, employee bonuses, new hires, terminations, company transfers, intra-divisional movement, performance reviews, corrective actions, garnishments, child support notices, PTO, and SLC allotments

• Interfaces with Accounting Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll-related transactions are completed as approved

• Perform other duties as assigned

HR Generalist Responsibilities:

• Carry out general human resource functions for HMUS Michigan office. Ensure that HR policies, practices, and procedures are properly and consistently administered and lead to fair and consistent treatment of employees. Assist in policy/procedure communication and related education activities to ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures are understood

• Conduct recruiting functions to include position analysis, dimension selection, interview questionnaire creation, job postings, resume review, interviewing and selection to include job offer and maintenance of applicant tracking database

• Conduct HR processes for Michigan members such as new hire on boarding, transfer, termination, leave, visa support, performance evaluation, employee recognition or investigation

• Support training functions include tracking, scheduling & conducting training sessions

• Assist Benefits manager by performing benefits / 401K administrative operations

• Facilitate positive employee relations activities and CSR activities

• Must follow all company requirements regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and support administration of office / lab safety programs.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and generally 1 to 5 years of experience in a related field -or- A Master's Degree and generally 1 to 4 yrs. of experience in related field

• Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications as well as strong HRIS experience

• Transferrable report writing skills

• Have strong problem-solving, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs

• Proactively support internal customers by providing and/or suggesting best practices

• Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test

• Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters

Knowledge/Skills required:

• Intermediate to advanced system administration experience (beyond basic data entry or report exporting) with HRIS system KRONOS Workforce Ready (UKG) or other similar ones, with sufficient understandings of relational database

• Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other presentation applications and/or software

• Effective communication with all levels of the organization is required
