Vantage is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to work in our Legal Department at our downtown Monroe, LA location from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary: The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support at an executive level by performing advanced and confidential duties for Vantage Health Plan's Legal Department. Many of these support duties may be unique to a legal environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Operate professionally at all times, establishing a high level of credibility and trust with management and employees
● Consistently operate with high level of integrity and display excellent example of company culture, values, and policies
● Process (transcribe dictation, type, review, revise) legal documents in a timely and efficient manner while working in close contact with the General Counsel/Associate General Counsel and other Senior Executives
● Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports and other complex documents
● Organize and prioritize large volumes of confidential and non-routine information while maintaining specific attention to detail
● Type and design general correspondence, memos, emails and basic clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, maintaining calendars, etc
● Maintain the master copy of all company contracts and agreements and ensure they are updated as needed

● Planning/organizing - the individual takes the initiative to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently and effectively
● Adaptability - the individual adapts to change in a demanding work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent change, delays or unexpected events
● Computer skills - must be experienced and proficient in a variety of computer software applications including MS Word, Outlook and Excel
● Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. A commitment to performing excellent work on a consistent basis is essential.

Marginal Duties:
● Perform special assignments, projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
● High School diploma
● In-depth working knowledge of MS Office
● Contract drafting and redlining
● Experience as an executive assistant to senior management in a corporate setting is preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:
● This position has no supervisory responsibilities but does serve as an influencer for other positions in the department

Supervision Received:
● Works under the general supervision of the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and Executive Legal Assistant

Working Conditions:
● This position operates in a professional office environment
● This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday - Friday
● Overtime may be required
