Milton Hershey School (MHS) proudly serves 2,100 pre-K through 12th grade students from underprivileged backgrounds, providing them with a unique, cost-free education. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, our school has a rich history and continues to expand, positively impacting the lives of our students.

We are currently seeking a skilled Part-Time Barber to join our Hair Salon - Spartan Styles. In this role, you will deliver exceptional hair care services to male students, from clipper and scissor cuts to essential grooming and hygiene education. The ideal candidate will have experience with all hair types and cutting techniques.

Key Details:

• Work hours are flexible based on student requests, primarily Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and occasionally Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Expect approximately 20-29 hours of work per week during school sessions.
• Compensation is an hourly rate ranging from $23.40 to $38.61, based on your experience.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current PA State Certification.
• Valid Barber or Cosmetology License.
• Strong barbering skills, especially with scissors and clippers.
• Prior experience in a professional beauty/barber shop is preferred.
• Experience working with youth and providing hair care services to children and teens from Pre-K to 12th grade.
• Exemplary professional demeanor with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Able to collaborate in a diverse workplace and engage professionally with students and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to actively interact with students beyond job responsibilities.
• High integrity and the ability to be a role model for students.
